The Dog Pond Second Chance Program

At Dog Pond Kennels, we believe every dog deserves another chance- a chance to learn, to heal, and to find a forever home. Our Second Chance Program gives dogs with uncertain pasts a new beginning through patience, structure, and training.

These dogs come to us from different situations- sometimes surrendered, sometimes rescued- but every one of them gets the same commitment: love, purpose, and a chance to succeed.

When you adopt through Dog Pond’s Second Chance Program, you’re not just rescuing a dog- you’re helping to rewrite their story.

  • Why We Do This

We’ve spent years working with dogs of every background and temperament. Over time, we realized that many great dogs are overlooked simply because they’ve never been given the right guidance.

The Second Chance Program was created to change that- to take dogs who need a little extra help and show them what stability, training, and kindness can do.

It’s our way of giving back to the animals who’ve given so much to us.

  • How It Works

    1. Selection & Evaluation: Each Second Chance dog is carefully chosen based on potential, temperament, and need.

    2. Training & Care: Under the guidance of Travis Williams, the dogs receive individualized training to build confidence, manners, and trust.

    3. Daily Life at Dog Pond: They live alongside our boarding and training dogs, enjoying routine, exercise, and structured socialization.

    4. Finding Their Match: Each dog is listed for adoption on this page. We take care to match them with homes that understand their journey and are ready to continue their progress.
